The ESSnuSB Design Study: Overview and Future Prospects

ESSnuSB is a design study for an experiment to measure the CP violation in leptonic sector at second neutrino oscillation maximum using beam driven by uniquely powerful ESS linear accelerator. The reduced impact of systematic errors on sensitivity allows very precise measurement violating parameter. This review describes fundamental advantages maximum, necessary upgrades linac order produce beam, near and far detector complexes, expected physics reach proposed experiment, concluding with future developments aimed project realization.
